- Retreat HWe've hosted several Yoga & Wine Retreats at Cheeky Fox and we highly recommend this house for anyone looking to escape from the stresses of daily life :) The location is amazing, the owners are wonderful and the house itself is really well equipped and has everything we needed to make our stay (and that of our guests) super comfortable. Already booked in for the next Yoga retreat and I am sure that won't be the last one. Thanks Linda and Jason!
- Marina vWe had the most amazing family celebrations week at Cheeky fox retreat! Linda and Jason are lovely hosts, so welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed walks around their stunning property, relaxing by the fire, soaking up the sun on the veranda, having beautiful wine tasting with Cathy from Sutherland Wine Estate and amazing celebration diner prepared by Ange from My little Country Kitchen. The homestead exceeded our expectations. We definitely come back with our whole family! Thank you for having us!
- Luke WAn absolute treat. Stayed here last weekend with nine friends, and it was perfect. A beautifully designed home with so very many large bedrooms and shared spaces. Set on 50 acres, and surrounded by gorgeous views. Linda and Jason are the perfect hosts, and they generously shared their morning walk with their Border Collie, Fitz. They also provided a lavish platter of charcuterie, cheese and dips. The kitchen is very well appointed, with a Smeg range and oven, plus coffee machine, convection microwave and dishwasher. There is also a pool and a cinema room, or as I prefer to call it "the nap room". We're already booked in for our next visit. Better get in while you can.
The Retreat is a large six-bedroom home, with queen and single beds in five of the rooms and a king size bed in the master bedroom. There are three full bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen and large open-plan living space, a formal dining room/boardroom with seating for 12, library, private cinema and a solar-heated swimming pool.
sun-drenched veranda wraps around the entire house offering views of the ranges
to the east and garden views to the west.
The house grounds are surrounded by paddocks with some 30 sheep and
there is also about 12 acres of bush on the property, with over 2 kilometres of
tracks to explore.
Located only an hour from Melbourne and just 20 minutes to the Yarra Valley wineries, Kinglake is a rural township that feels a world away from the city. At some 600 metres above sea level, Kinglake is about 4 degrees cooler than Melbourne and can have some alpine-like weather, including snow in the winter. The house has a wood burner and ducted heating & cooling so is well prepared for all weather events!
The Kinglake Ranges offers a wide variety of nature-based attractions and activities including the Kinglake National Park with walking tracks, BBQ facilities and impressive waterfalls.
are a number of playgrounds for the kids including Bollygum Park located in the

Please note that your hosts also live in a separate dwelling on the property, and as it is a working hobby farm may be seen in the paddocks tending to the sheep (or walking the dog!) during your stay.
